Catita Pérez Morales

 Hello everyone, today I will talk about a person on my field that me admire. In my field there are many admirable celebrity, for example Louis Pasteur, Alexander Fleming, John Dalton, but the person that I admire the most is the chemical scientist Marie Curie. She was born in the city of Varsovia, Poland, on 7 November 1867, and she die on 4 June 1934, in Passy, a city in France, a contry that she had adopted as a nationality. She was a pioneer in the field of radioactivity, she was the first person to receive two Nobel prizes in different specialties — Physics and Chemistry and the first woman to hold the post of professor at the University of Paris. She named the first chemical element she discovered, polonium, as her country of origin. I admire Marie Curie because it must have been difficult, for her as a woman, to make a name for herself at that time, where male chauvinism predominated. This is why I believe that Marie Curie is an example for women in science.

Hi everyone,  today I want to take advantage of the free themed to talk about football. Yesterday the Chilean team played soccer against the Argentina team for the qualifiers for the Qatar World Cup 2022. I am not an expert on the subject but I really like to watch football, both male and female. Despite the fact that there was not one of the national team figures (my favorite played, Arturo Vidal), Chile achieved a good result, drawing 1-1 with Messi from Argentina. In the Chilean national team, the historical figures of the golden generation stood out, our captain Claudio Bravo making several great catches.   Hi everyone, today I will talk about a photograph that I like a lot, it is one of my favorite. This photograph was taken by my father, in selfie mode. Here I am with my family in a passion that unites us with my parents and brother... the love for the greatest team in Chile, Colo-Colo.  This photograph was taken in January 2018, we are at in the Monumental Stadium in a Colo-Colo Female match, supporting the growth of women's football in Chile. I like it because I am with the people I love the most, it is also a sport that I have practice since I was 14 years old, first in Colo-Colo and now in the selection of the Faculty of Chemistry at my university. Although I have many football related phothos, this is my favorite. Today due to the pandemic, I miss visiting the stadium, stepping on a court, playing with my teammate.

 Hi, today I'll talk about my favorite movie. I could say that I have a favorite Disney movie this is "Mulan", but my favorite movie that I recommend is "Historias cruzadas".  Now I will talk about "Historias cruzadas", I recommend it and I like it because it is funny and it talks about an important topic in the world to this day, racism. A movie set in the 60s, about a white woman who in an attempt to become a journalist and writer decides to write a book from the point of view of the maids, exposing the racism they face while working for white families. With great actresses like Emma Stone, Octavia Spencer and Viola Davis. The genre of movies that like is science fiction, my favorite movie is "Divergent". "Raya y el último dragón" is the most recent movie I saw, it is a new Disney movie, and I recommend it because it is entertaining and leaves a message of unity.

 Hello everybody, today I will talk about my favourite piece of technology. Nowadays it is difficult to imagine the world whitout tecnology because it is part of our daily life, so it is difficult to choose, but for the time of use, I choose my cellphone. I had mi first cellphone when I was ten years old, I only used it to play. In my life I’ve had four cellphones. Actually I use my cellphone of many things, for example, to call my family and friends, to send messages, for video call, this helps me to communicate especially in these times of pandemic. I also use it to play video games online. Sometimes I use it take photos and film. But principally I use for social networks and listening to music. For this reason I use it frequently and it is my favorite piece of techonology and my life will be more isolated and boring.

 When I was a girl I dreamed of being a veterinarian because I loved animals, that is not changed, but  I changed my mind when my fear of blood was greater, also discarding medicine. When at fiveteen years old, I wanted to study engineering. Finally I discarded it because it seemed boring to me and when i left school, I chose Chemistry and Pharmacy because I love Chemistry. For this when to apply to university, I had two options, Chemistry or Chemistry and Pharmacy. My experience in these three years has been intense, with ups and down, this is a career difficult but beautiful, I am satisfied with my decision because I am happy in spite the stress. In a future job, I would like to be in the Clinical Pharmacy área, I already did an intermediate practice in healthcare pharmacy and I was delighted. I hope I can continue to be just as excited.

Hi, I introduce myself, my name is Catalina Pérez Morales, but I like to be called Catita. I’m twenty one years old, I was born in the winter of 1999 in Santiago, at the Juan Pablo II clinic. I live with my father Hernán, my mother Heidy and my brother Diego, I also have two dogs, three cats and one rabbit, I love my pets, they are part of my family. We live in Puente Alto and we share a passion, this is  Colo-colo, the best soccer team in Chile. (in my opinion) I studied in three schools in Puente Alto, La Florida and Macul. Now I study Chemistry and Pharmacy, this has been difficult but I love it. In my free time, I like to sleep, the truth is that I love to sleep, also I love playing soceer and playing guitar. With my family we have “Saturday nights”, here we watch movies and play board game. Well classmet and professor, that’s all for now.
